The Word of Your Testimony

Rev. 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

We have a part to play in the victory over our enemy. Jesus Christ won the Promised Land, but we must still contend in the battles and uproot the enemies in our land. The land is our lives fought daily. Israel had a physical battle, ours is spiritual. Our promised land is eternity with ABBA Father and continuous fellowship with Him and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The word of our testimony is not only our faith in the completed work of Jesus but our continuous life of praise and the pursuit of holiness here on earth. It is the battle won daily as we beat our bodies into submission. It is the restraining of our thoughts, the control of our flesh, and the willful submission to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Our testimony is “But God”! Our part I never easy, just as it wasn’t easy for Jesus to do His portion. But faith doesn’t make things easy, it makes things possible. Even when we cry as Jesus, “Father if there is any other way, take this cup from me”, we must ultimately yield as Job (Job 2:10) and say “Shall we accept the good from God, and not the trouble or hard things”. No, even Solomon states in Ecclesiastes 7:14 “When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future.” Our future is secure in the one who promised the victory. Let us remain faithful so that like Paul following in the footsteps of Jesus who declared, It is finished, we can also testify “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”. 2 Timothy 4:7
